One of Scotland's oldest, yet least-known distilleries. Named for the Tamdhu Spring which supplies its water. Tamdhu is the main ingredient in the excellent blended scotch called The Famous Grouse. It is a light, spicy, caramel-toffee nosed whisky . . . AGED 10 YEARS . . . very smooth indeed.
Scotch expert, Michael Jackson, describes Tamdhu as "bright gold" in color. "Clean, sweet. Very slightly toffeeish. An easily drinkable, malt-accented introduction to singles."
