"Dense, with a impressive tannic coating to the chestnut, tobacco, pastis, mulled currant and blackberry fruit flavors. There's a smoldering charcoal note on the finish, with the grip nicely integrated. You'd never guess this as a 2008. A terrific effort for the vintage. Best from 2012 through 2022." Sparkling | Champagne | France | Champagne | 750ml
A robust and exotic Champagne uniquely blended from one vintage and a solera blend from a mix of vintages dating a few years further. "The NV Grand Cru Cuvee 1911 emerges from the glass with the most haunting of perfumes. Sweet rose petal and jasmine are some of the nuances that emerge over time. Despite recent disgorgement, the purity of the fruit and the extraordinary elegance of the mousse are hard to miss. This is an exceptional, elegant version of the 1911 that should drink beautifully for years to come. The bottle I tasted needed quite a bit of air to open up, so readers should be patient with the wine at this stage." Wine Advocate 93+ Points

100% Chardonnay"Greenish yellow. High-pitched aromas of lime, lemongrass, jasmine and chalk. Nervy and precise on the palate, displaying juicy, ginger-accented citrus fruit flavors and deeper notes of fresh fig and buttered toast. Finishes with very good spicy cut and strong mineral-driven persistence." Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar 92 Points

"Well-knit, integrating a firm backbone of acidity and a fine, lightly creamy texture with flavors of patisserie apple, pastry, blanched almond and meringue. A smoky hint of minerality gains momentum on the finish. Drink now through 2018. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 500 cases imported. Wine Spectator 92 Points60% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier Light, bright gold, with a hint of green. Ripe pear and orange on the nose, with notes of nougat and yellow plum adding complexity. Smooth and fleshy in the mouth, offering juicy orchard and pit fruit flavors sharpened by a spicy nuance. The spicy finish features solid punch and good focus. Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar 90 Points
"85% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir Pale orange color. An intensely perfumed nose displays spicy redcurrant and strawberry, along with an exotic blood orange quality. Zesty red fruit flavors are sharply focused and pure, with chalky minerality adding lift. Maintains energy through the long, spicy finish, which leaves a trace of bitter orange pith behind. This newly established house is co-owned by all three winemaking branches of Bordeaux' Rothschild family, whose holdings include Chateaux Mouton-Rothschild, Lafite-Rothchild and Clarke, among others. The wines are made at the highly regarded Vertus co-op from grapes grown mostly in the Cotes de Blancs. The Rothschilds have signed long-term leases with a handful of growers and intend to expand their Champagne presence slowly and methodically, with vineyard purchases on the horizon." Combining supreme quality with impeccable, cutting-edge design, Beau is made from the highest quality wine — 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay — naturally derived from the finest grapes of Epernay, France. A unique, zero-dosage champagne with none of the added sugars common in other champagnes, Beau's true, uninhibited flavors rise through to the palate, boasting the perfect balance of dryness and sweetness resulting in a clean, crisp taste form start to finish. Because of the lack of added sugars, Beau pairs well with all foods and desserts. The bottle is wrapped in a 100%-copper suit of armor inspired by the armor worn by the knights that protected the kingdom. Beau's suit of armor keeps the champagne colder longer, reducing the amount of energy required to bring the bottle to serving temperature and eliminating the need for ice bucket storage during consumption. It also provides improved grip when opening and serving, while the bottle's rubber punt ensures enhanced stability when pouring.

A perfectly balanced Rose, with a light crisp taste, fresh and fruity, with the color of delicate rose petals. Just a hint of sweetness really accents the fine fruit flavor. A fresh and fruity wine, brimming with watermelon, strawberry and citrus notes. The vibrant structure and delicate mousse keep this focused and lively, with a long, crisp finish. The bubbly is made from 50 % Pinot Noir and 50 % Chardonnay
"The 2000 Brut Cuvee Nicolas Francois Billecart impresses for its sheer purity and focus. Nothing is out of place in this beautifully delineated, precise wine. Cool, minty notes add lift, yet the 2000 is rather reticent at this stage and appears to need further bottle age. Still, its textural finesse is impossible to miss." Wine Advocate (94 Points)
"A rich version, with a sense of finesse, featuring a frame of well-cut acidity and flavors of poached pear, pastry cream, black currant, candied ginger and salted butter. Offers a creamy, mineral-tinged finish. Drink now through 2020." Wine Spectator 92 Points

Nicolas Catena Zapata is made from a selection of the best lots in the Catena Zapata vineyards. The first Nicolas Catena Zapata was made in 1997, a phenomenal Cabernet Sauvignon vintage in Mendoza. The first vintage was released in 2000 through a series of blind tastings held in the USA and Europe where it was compared to Chateau Latour, Haut Brion, Solaia, Caymus and Opus One. The Nicolas Catena Zapata 1997 came in either first of second in every tasting. This wine is only produced in outstanding vintage years and has received high acclaim from top wine publications and experts.

"This wine is more backward than I would have normally expected, but nevertheless, it is very impressive. The 2010 Branaire-Ducru displays an inky bluish purple color and loads of mulberry, raspberry, black currant, graphite and floral notes in its intense aromatics. Medium to full-bodied , with sensational ripeness, purity, texture and length, the tannins are slightly more prominent than I remember from barrel, but they are sweet and ripe (as opposed to astringent and bitter). This beautiful wine needs 4-6 years of cellaring and should keep 25-30 years." Wine Advocate (94 Points)

A spectacular effort from this estate rivaling their 2005, but more flashy/flamboyant, this dark ruby/purple wine has a strikingly intense nose of licorice, flowers, plums and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, very approachable and silky, this suave, very sexy wine can be drunk early on as well as aged for 20+ years.Robert Parker 95 Points
"I can’t remember tasting a young Clerc as exciting as this since the 1980s. Fascinating aromas of blackberries and currant jam. Very deep. Tar too. Full and very dense. It just tickles the tip of your tongue. So much there. 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carménère." James Suckling (95-96 Points)
With it's perfumed aromas, this is a wine that has richness and sweetness, with soft velvet power. It has an intense wood element that needs to blend into the rest of the wine, but the sweet black currant and freshness provide a good balance. This is a seductive wine, with a fine solid character. " Wine Enthusiast 95 Points "Fresh mushroom on the nose, with dark fruits and berries. Full-bodied, with soft, velvety tannins and a rich, fruity finish. Balanced and pretty, with lovely length. Best after 2012. 22,000 cases made." Wine Spectator 90 Points "A beautiful wine with 13.4% natural alcohol, this blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc possesses a deep ruby/purple color as well as a sweet perfume of cassis, incense, charcoal, and subtle oak, round, generously endowed flavors, medium to full body, silky tannin, and surprising depth and length. It can be drunk now and over the next 12-15 years." The Wine Advocate 90 Points
White | Barsac | France | Bordeaux | 750ml
"A complete, medium to full-bodied, exquisite Margaux from this medieval, moat-encircled, compellingly beautiful estate in the southern Medoc, D’Issan’s 2010 is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. The deep, gravelly soils mixed with clay have provided extraordinary aromatics. The yields were ridiculously low (22 hectoliters per hectare) and the wine tips the scaled at 13.7% natural alcohol. Production was small after the selection for the grand vin, and the result is a dense, purple-colored wine with beautiful aromatics of spring flowers, blueberries and black raspberries as well as hints of cassis, tar and charcoal. The wine is gorgeously pure, well-balanced, and soft enough to be approached in 4-5 years or cellared for 25-30." - Wine Advocate 95 Points

The white wines of Château de Beaucastel are amongst the finest expressions of Roussanne grapes grown in a warm climate. A big, powerful, masculine Pomerol with a style not dissimilar from Le Gay, the dense purple-colored 2009 Gazin exhibits black currant, black cherry liqueur, coffee, roasted herb, an exotic Asian spice component, vanillin, creme caramel and toasty oak in its aromatics and flavors. From a vineyard near Petrus, Le Gay and La Fleur Petrus, it is full-bodied with licorice, earth, truffle and creme de cassis in the mouth. Give this powerful, backward 2009 an additional 6-8 years of cellaring and drink it over the following three decades.Robert Parker 96 Points
