Red | Merlot | United States | California | 750ml
The Tasting Panel gave this 2009 vintage 90 points describing it as a “pleasing and vivacious value driven slice of sunshine.” We couldn’t agree more! The grapes used to craft this classic Bordeaux-style Merlot originate from the renowned region of Pomerol, France and grow on the clay soil of the Sierra foothills of California. The result is a medium-bodied wine offering both black and red fruits, alongside of vanilla and spicy cedar. It will pair seamlessly with richer meats like lamb and beef.

As the temperature rises in California’s central coast during the hottest hours of the day, the vineyards at 24 Knots are blessed with cool marine winds which sweep through at an unbelievable 30 miles per hour, which, in nautical terms, is equivalent to a speed of 24 knots, hence the name… This very structured and balanced wine offers aromas of strawberry and black cherry, accompanied by hint of toast. It has a vivid acidity and a long silky finish.
Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Oregon | 750ml
This elegant Oregon wine displays complex flavors of red fruits, leading harmoniously towards savory mineral aromatics. It finishes its complex dance with darker fruits which unify to provide a beautiful balance of richness and power.

Rich and smooth. Beautiful floral aromas, with supple, plummy fruit flavors that fill the mouth. With well-integrated tannins and impressive smoothness on the finish, this red blend is meticulously crafted using fruit from low-yield Napa vineyards.

"As I indicated last year, the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a brilliant effort. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, it has begun to shut down slightly, but reveals an opaque purple color along with deep, sweet, cedary, black currant aromas intermixed with hints of tobacco leaf, licorice and graphite. Full-bodied, powerful and rich, this impressive 2007 needs 4-5 years of cellaring and should keep for 25+ years." Wine Advocate (94 Points)

A round, fruit-powered, appealing mix of delicious citrus, berry and plum flavors. Highlights of orange peel and baking spices are underscored by bracing acidity. Grapes are entirely from the Clawson Creek estate vineyard. Wine Enthusiast 90 Points
Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Sonoma Coast | 750ml
80% Sonoma Coast, 20% Russian River Valley. Aged 12 months in French Oak. This deep raspberry colored Pinot Noir stems from some of the best Pinot Noir vineyards in California found in the Sonoma Coast AVA. The wine's aromas are reminiscent of a fine Gevrey Chambertin in that it contains bright cherry fruit but is balanced over an earthy, leathery texture. Similarly, the palate unfolds with exotic spice flavors of tea leaf, clove and star anise and then folds daftly into rich and generous French oak lactone flavors and textures while maintaining its age-worthy acidity within.
Ariel oak-aged Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of black currants, cherry, blueberries and chocolate, with soft tannins and a dry finish.
Rustic in the best sense, this has the deep, resinous herb scent that's made Mendocino famous. The tannins lend grit to the palate, along with layers of flavor that fill the mouth completely even as the wine coasts along. Decant a bottle while you marinate a butterflied leg of lamb for the grill.Wine & Spirits Magazine 92 Points?Best Buy
The nose shows lovely rosehip, black cherry and black currant, with deep wood and vanilla spice. The wine has flavors of bing cherry and black fruits with a delicacy and finesse that is appealing and reminiscent of the structure and elegance of a great Bordeaux. The full fruit finish, supple, weighty tannins and long finish add to the complexity of this wine.

Final 2000 blend was completed May 2002. Rigorous selection was maintained. Approximately 25% of total production was kept out of the final blend to ensure the highest quality possible. 550 cases bottled after aging in French oak (75% new) for 22 months. The blend is very similar to our 1999 with the majority of the wine chosen, produced from Sacrashe Vineyard grapes. Release Date - February 2003

"The 2004 Axios is a very strong effort for this vintage, opulent, deep plum/garnet/ruby, with loads of chocolate, black currant, cedar wood and spice box notes. With sweet, supple tannins, a dense, full body, a voluptuous mouthfeel, and outstanding purity and length, this is a delicious, substantial, yet lush style of wine to drink over the next 10-15+ years." Wine Advocate (93 Points)

"An example is certainly the 2005 Axios. One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is concentrated, still young, but with terrific density, richness, and concentration, although still playing it close to the vest. Opaque purple in color, with plenty of creme de cassis, licorice, and subtle smoke and earth, the wine is full-bodied, beautifully pure and layered, but one can sense that most of the nuances and complexity have still not emerged. This wine is “locked and loaded,” as they say, and 2-3 more years of bottle age will be enormously beneficial for it. It should drink well for two decades. A brilliant success in the vintage!" Wine Advocate (95 Points)
"The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon displays a dense purple color and some of the robust tannins of the vintage, in contrast to 2004, 2005, or the unreleased 2007. This is a big, full-bodied, powerful wine, muscular and masculine, but slightly more rustic than any of the other wines I tasted from Axios. This wine is certainly a successful effort for the vintage, and like the 2005, needs several years of bottle age to round into shape. It should evolve for 15 or more years." Wine Advocate (90 Points)

"The brilliant 2007 Axios has an opaque purple color, a beautiful, sweet mulberry, black cherry, and cassis nose, and hints of crushed rock, flowers, and licorice, with subtle background oak. With its superb opulence, layered mouthfeel, and seamless finish, this could well turn out to be even better than the 2005, but it is still a youngster and unevolved, even compared to the 2005. It should last for 20 years." Wine Advocate (95+ Points)
Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Santa Maria Valley | 750ml
Deep scarlet color; out of the gate aromas of cinnamon, cranberry and a hint of ginger tease for a taste. The palate turns into Christmas in the mouth, sweet baking spices and tart berries, even a hint of roasted meat.
The 2011 Clark & Telephone is a Cab's lovers Pinot if ever there was one. Established in 1972, the Clark & Telephone Vineyard was planted "own root" to the Martini clone. This heirloom clone of Pinot Noir was one of the first to grace the California coastlands and has become something of a lost treasure. The site offers pronounced flavors that are augmented by the Martini clone, known for its characteristic brown spice (cinnamon, nutmeg and clove) and deep cranberry and raspberry flavors. Throughout the experience a plush weight fills the mouth. The merging of flavors, viscosity and a lively acidity round out the long, sinuous finish.

"Dark and rich, showing toasty mocha oak flavors, with a beam of wild berry, raspberry, cola, vanilla and spice. Long on the finish. Drink now through 2020." Wine Spectator (92)
A light-bodied, very affordable Pinot Noir from Caiden's Vineyards, who pride themselves for producing small batches of quality wines vintage after vintage.

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Anderson Valley, California | 750ml
A blend of numerous clones including Pommard, Mt. Eden, Martini, and Dijon clones from Donnelly Creek, Savoy, and Wiley vineyards in the Anderson Valley Appellation. The 2010 immediately displays the classic hallmarks of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir – an intense aromatic core of black cherry and pomegranate with more subtle notes of forest floor and wild sage. The palate is a lovely blend of sweet black fruits and spicy toast that build on the elegantly defined tannins to give a supple mouthfeel and rewarding finish.
"The 2009 Pinot Noir Ampelos comes across as quite energetic and tightly wound. Dark cherries, plums, sweet spices and menthol emerge, but only with great reluctance. Sweet floral notes and licorice appear later, adding complexity and nuance to the red fruit. There is marvelous integrity in the glass; the only thing needed is time." Wine Advocate (92 Points)

Our fourth release from this dynamic site owned and farmed by Peter and Rebecca Work. Our 1.7 acre, west-facing parcel was custom planted specifically for us in clay-loam soil to clone 828.
"Initially quite reticent, the 2010 Pinot Noir Ampelos comes across as slightly compact and shut down. There is an element of racy wildness that runs through the fruit in this firm Pinot. It will be interesting to see if the Ampelos softens up with further time in bottle. Today, it is a bit of a brute. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018." Wine Advocate (89 Points)

Bettina is a gorgeous blend of Bordeaux varietals sourced from three of David Abreu’s own exceptional estate vineyards – Madrona, Thorevilos, and Lucia Howell Mountain. The 2010 DB4 combines the expressive benchmark terrior of our estate with a compelling blend of fruit produced in David Abreu’s vineyards: Madrona, Thorevilos, and Lucia Howell Mountain. Red | Cabernet Sauvignon | United States | Napa Valley | 750ml
Produced by Napa Valley cult-wine favorite Buccella Vineyards, the "Mica" is a declassified wine of barrels that do not make the cut for the producer's primary Cabernet Sauvignon. Both wines are made in the same practice of whole-berry fermentation, 22 months aging in new French oak barrels and being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Aromas of a briar patch on a hot summer day carry over to the palate and are carried in a mouth-filling, flavorful, juicy package. The wine was crafted for immediate enjoyment but for those who enjoy a more complex wine displaying some bottle-aged character, ageing until 2015 is a good option.
"Ripe and assertive, with a mix of savory dried berry, sage, bay leaf and herb-laced currant." Wine Spectator (86 Points)

The wine's bouquet opens beautifully with rich aromas of black currant, cherries and just a hint of espresso. Smooth on the palate, the wine offers flavors of plum and blackberry that gently give way to cardamom on the long, silky finish.
The winery’s colorful founder, The Count of Buena Vista, pioneered premium winemaking in California. A tireless and passionate devotee of California wine, The Count imported hundreds of premium vines from Europe, dug Sonoma’s first wine caves, introduced innovative viticulture techniques, and wrote the first treatise on California wine.
Our 2009 Founder ’s Red Wine is truly a wine that Count Haraszthy would be proud to have bear his name. Inviting aromas of ripe raspberries, cherries and blackberries lead to rewarding flavors of currant, blueberry jam and black pepper. This well-structured wine will please the palate with its lush mouthfeel and lengthy finish.
Three-quarters of the grapes for our 2005 Merlot came from vineyards in the Oakville, Rutherford and Calistoga districts of upper Napa Valley, with the balance from the cooler Carneros district.
Fruit aromas keyed on fresh black cherry, blueberry and plum, with fragrant scents of rose petal, tea-leaf, tobacco and cocoa adding interest and complexity. On the compact, supple palate, vibrant cherry, blackberry and cassis flavors are enlivened by a zesty black-tea spiciness that segues into a long, cocoa-tinged finish.
Winery Notes: Plum, pomegranate, pink rose petal, boysenberry and the slightest hint of watermelon candy dance from this 2011 Central Coast Pinot Noir. It's full of boysenberry and spicy cherries jubilee character with nice brightness and delightful flavors of black raspberry and sweet oak. A bit of tartness accents the soft, flowing texture and lively finish.
Wine Advocate 90 Points: Calera's 2011 Pinot Noir Central Coast wafts from the glass with freshly cut flowers, sweet red berries and mint. This is a fairly laid-back vintage for the wine, with less of the pure breed of the 2009 and 2010, but frankly that may be an unfair comparison as those wines were superb over achievers. The 2011 is more an inline performer. The tense, saline finish laced with pretty floral and spiced notes is lovely. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.

2009 was a warm, bountiful year and while many producers have given the market high alcohol, overripe fruit bombs, you will not find that in any 2009 Pinot noirs from Cameron. Deep roots without irrigation is the key: these vines have far less leaf canopy and fewer stomata for gas exchange so that significantly less sugar is produced over the course of the ripening season. Add to that the higher elevation of our Abbey Ridge Vineyard and you have before you a wine of elegance and grace (13.0% alcohol), luscious black cherry aromas and mouth-watering texture.

“Wow! The 2010 Gary’s Vineyards has a deep ruby color and a dark red core. Cranberries, currants, sage, maraschino cherry, hibiscus flower, cream soda and brown sugar aromas abound from the glass in this powerfully aromatic wine. Warm raspberry pie, pomegranate, assai berry and bright cherry flavors intertwined with spicy sweet vanilla oak followed by silky tannins that coat the mouth with a full and long finish.”
