Deep roots without irrigation is the key: these vines have far less leaf canopy and fewer stomata for gas exchange so that significantly less sugar is produced over the course of the ripening season. Add to that the higher elevation of our Abbey Ridge Vineyard and you have before you a wine of elegance and grace (13.0% alcohol), luscious black cherry aromas and mouth-watering texture.
