Pair it with salmon or ahi, veal or pork, poultry (think duck) or beef, or hearty vegetarian entrees.

“The 2009 Beaune Cent-Vignes is gorgeous. Juicy dark cherries, flowers, mint and minerals come to life in the glass in this deep, expressive wine. The tannins are quite firm and the structure is imposing, so readers will have to be patient. There is little doubt the Cent-Vignes will be stellar in a few years. 2009 Cameron - Dundee Pinot Noir
2009 Cameron - Dundee Pinot Noir $48.99

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Oregon | 750ml

2009 was a warm, bountiful year and while many producers have given the market high alcohol, overripe fruit bombs, you will not find that in any 2009 Pinot noirs from Cameron. Deep roots without irrigation is the key: these vines have far less leaf canopy and fewer stomata for gas exchange so that significantly less sugar is produced over the course of the ripening season. Add to that the higher elevation of our Abbey Ridge Vineyard and you have before you a wine of elegance and grace (13.0% alcohol), luscious black cherry aromas and mouth-watering texture.

2009 Camins - Priorat
2009 Camins - Priorat $27.99

Red | Proprietary Red | Spain | Catalonia | 750ml

"The 2009 Camins del Priorat possesses an intriguing, alluring bouquet with lifted aromas of damson, red currant and pressed flowers that unfurl with a few swirls of the glass. The full-bodied palate is defined by its fleshy tannins on the entry, yet its corpulence does not obscure its attractive minerally core. The sappy finish grips the mouth, and its backbone suggests it will benefit from 3 to 5 year’s aging." Wine Advocate (90 Points)

2009 Château Bouscaut - Pessac-Léognan
2009 Château Bouscaut - Pessac-Léognan $44.95 $34.95

This is packed with maduro tobacco, espresso and baker's chocolate flavors, joined by dark currant and plum fruit, but the edges are sleek and the finish nicely woven with roasted alder and bay notes. This shows nice range, and should blossom with mid-term cellaring. Best from 2013 through 2020. 6,500 cases made.

2009 Château Dassault - St.-Emilion
2009 Château Dassault - St.-Emilion $54.95 $44.95

Red | Bordeaux | France | Bordeaux | 750ml

92

"Showing far superior from bottle than it did from barrel, the proprietor (the same as the famous military and corporate jet manufacturer) has turned out a sexy, opulent, fruit-laden wine with an abundance of black cherries, black currants, spring flowers and some background earth and licorice. This is a lusty, flamboyant and extroverted style of wine to drink over the next 10-15 years." Wine Advocate (90 Points)

2009 Chateau de Saint Cosme - Châteauneuf-du-Pape
2009 Chateau de Saint Cosme - Châteauneuf-du-Pape $59.95 $44.98

Red | Chateauneuf du Pape | France | 750ml

95

"This is a powerhouse, with roasted bay, sage and tobacco leaf notes running through the layers of dark plum, blackberry compote and roasted fig fruit. The long, almost unbridled finish flaunts muscle, coated with ganache, while a note of hot stone lurks in the background throughout. Best from 2013 through 2030. 830 cases made.

2009 Chateau Fleur Cardinale - St. Emilion
2009 Chateau Fleur Cardinale - St. Emilion $54.95 $44.95

Red | Bordeaux | France | Bordeaux | 750ml

93

"A good value among over-achieving St.-Emilion estates is La Fleur Cardinale’s 2009. Composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, some of the abrasive tannins noticeable early on in this big wine (14.5% alcohol) are now sweeter and better integrated. Made from tiny yields of 30 hectoliters per hectare, this is a concentrated, rich effort revealing lots of black cherry and black currant fruit as well as a fragrant, firm, full-bodied personality. It should be at its best between 2016 and 2030." Wine Advocate (94 Points)

2009 Château Fombrauge - St.-Emilion
2009 Château Fombrauge - St.-Emilion $49.95 $39.95

Red | Bordeaux | France | Bordeaux | 750ml

92

The 2009 Fombrauge has the potential to be the finest wine ever made at this property. Michel Rolland is the consulting oenologist in the vineyard, which sits in the southern sector of St.-Emilion known as St.-Christophe des Bardes. It was picked very late in 2009, and the result is a powerhouse wine with an inky blue/purple color and the smell of pen ink, acacia flowers, blueberries, black raspberries and cassis. The wine hit 15% natural alcohol, which gives it lots of glycerin as well as a full-bodied intensity, while the low yields of 27 hectoliters per hectare have provided a striking level of concentration and length. This is very serious wine from an estate that is on the upswing. It should benefit from 3-5 years of cellaring and keep for two decades. Fombrauge is the flagship St.-Emilion estate of Bernard Magrez.

2009 Château Larrivet-Haut-Brion - Pessac-Léognan
2009 Château Larrivet-Haut-Brion - Pessac-Léognan $59.95 $44.95

A sensational wine from this Pessac-Leognan estate, the 2009 possesses notes of charcoal, graphite, roasted herbs, truffles, spice box, and luxurious quantities of black currant and black cherry fruit. Full-bodied, impressively endowed. and well under the radar for most consumers, this outstanding wine is a sleeper of the vintage and well worth buying. It should drink well for 15 or more years.

2009 Chateau Monbousquet - St Emilion
2009 Chateau Monbousquet - St Emilion $64.95 $49.95

Red | Bordeaux | France | Bordeaux | 750ml

94

This very structured, but polished, style shows a solid coat of coffee for the large core of crushed fig, plum sauce and steeped black currant fruit. Stays dense, but has a strong graphite and iron edge buried deeply on the finish, which should let this assimilate in the cellar. Lovely mineral, sanguine edge. Beautifully built. Best from 2014 through 2030. 7,500 cases made.

Nicely focused, with dark plum, black currant and steeped black cherry fruit melded with charcoal, black tea and mocha. The long finish is plush in feel, but stays restrained. Drink now through 2021. 4,330 cases made.

2009 Chateau Montelena - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
2009 Chateau Montelena - Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley $64.99 $49.95

Red | Cabernet Sauvignon | United States | California | 750ml

"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is wonderfully supple and fragrant. Silky tannins frame a core of expressive dark red fruit. Floral and spice notes are nicely woven throughout. This textured, gracious Cabernet Sauvignon should continue to age gracefully for another 7-10 years, but it is awfully good right now. The blend includes 7% Merlot and 1.5% Cabernet Franc in 2009." Wine Advocate (91 Points)

2009 Chateau Montelena - Chardonnay Napa Valley
2009 Chateau Montelena - Chardonnay Napa Valley $64.99 $47.95

White | Chardonnay | United States | California | 750ml

In the glass, this wine has a classic Chardonnay hue of pale golden straw. The bouquet draws you in with delicate nuances of wet stones, lichee, white peach, orange blossoms, and a slight hint of toasted almonds. The palate is soft and fleshy and loaded with bright citrus tones of sweet mandarin and Meyer lemon, white nectarine and rich tropical notes of guava, pineapple, and lichee – all complemented by subtle sweet oak. There is a delicate smoothness to this Chardonnay and fantastic weight throughout. This is the wine you’ll want to bring to the next big dinner party or business lunch– get ready to accept the kudos.

2009 Château Siran - Margaux $44.95 $39.95

Red | Bordeaux | France | Bordeaux | 750ml

Potentially the best Siran I have ever tasted and another unqualified sleeper of the vintage, this dense purple wine displays notes of scorched embers, vanillin, black currants, spring flowers and graphite. Medium to full-bodied, with stunning concentration, purity, texture and length, the 2009 Siran has plenty of tannin lurking beneath its luxurious fruit. Give it 2-3 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 20+ years.

Very perfumy, with white pepper and sanguine notes, followed by singed mesquite and silky-textured damson plum and cassis fruit flavors and a long, iron-tinged finish. A minerally style, but with the flesh for balance. Distinctive. Best from 2013 through 2026. 2,580 cases made.

The 2009 Mitsuko's Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc entices with its intense and complex aromas of passion fruit, pineapple, melon and dried grass, with undertones of tangerine, grapefruit and flint. The wine possesses vibrant minerality and pitch-perfect acidity counterbalanced by richness, depth and lengthy fruit flavors.

A blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre, the 2009 Ch'teauneuf-du-Pape Cuv?e Patricia shows perhaps the most intense, exuberant, and boisterous fruit and texture of the entire line-up. It is a rich, full-bodied, full-throttle Chateauneuf du Pape to drink over the next 10-15 years.
