2010 Domaine Olivier Leflaive - Batard Montrachet Grand Cru
2010 Domaine Olivier Leflaive - Batard Montrachet Grand Cru $399.95 $299.95

White | Chardonnay | France | Burgundy | 750ml

 BH  93-95

An admirably cool yet distinctly ripe nose offers up notes of white peach, pear and dried rose petal that are followed by impressively-scaled rich, full, powerful and palate staining broad shouldered flavors that brim with dry extract. Despite the outsized concentration and weight, the sappy and long, linear and very dry finish remains light on its feet with absolutely no sense of ponderousness. In a word, stunning.

2010 Domaine Olivier Leflaive - Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
2010 Domaine Olivier Leflaive - Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru $499.95 $399.95

White | Chardonnay | France | Burgundy | 750ml

 BH  93-96

As one would reasonably expect this possesses the most elegant nose in this limited but most impressive range with its mineral-based reduction, citrus and lightly spiced pear scents merging seamlessly into ultra-precise and intense flavors of crystalline purity. There is also plenty of the hallmark penetrating minerality on the explosively long, driving and bone dry finish, indeed this is very much like rolling rocks around in your mouth. This is presently very linear but impeccably well-balanced and overall, this is wonderfully classy.

2011 Kosta Browne - Chardonnay One Sixteen Russian River Valley $149.99 $119.98

White | Chardonnay | United States | California | 750ml

Our 2011 One Sixteen Chardonnay is sourced from six incredible vineyard sites in the Russian River Valley. Named after the Gravenstein Highway 116 which cuts through the town of Sebastopol, this wine embodies the true character of the Green Valley sub-appellation; a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sweet spot within the Russian River Valley. The 2011 vintage is comprised of El Diablo, Heintz, Searby, Ulises Valdez and Martinelli’s Charles Ranch and Zio Tony Vineyards. These sites all have superb micro-climates, offering just the right amount of warmth during the day and very cool nights, which leads to intensely focused wine with generous natural acidity.

A powerful white, this exhibits nut, lemon cream and mineral flavors, shaded by spice. Intense and concentrated, with a tangy finish and a long aftertaste of butterscotch and mineral.

Beautifully balanced, rich and well-proportioned, with tiers of butterscotch, fig, melon, hazelnut and spice flavors. This is full-bodied, yet very elegant and stylish for its size and depth of flavor.
