With the goal of expressing a comprehensive expression of the appellation, we selected five unique vineyard sites to create this Sta. Rita Hills bottling. This blend is comprised of Mount Carmel, 3-D, Gnesa, Sea Smoke and Zotovich. While each lot is handled separately and in a completely uniform fashion in the winery, each contributes vastly different expressions which ultimately harmonize in the finished wine.
"The 2010 Chardonnay is gorgeous. Juicy apricots, pears, flowers and a hint of spices are woven together in this beautifully layered Chardonnay. Brewer-Clifton’s 2010 Chardonnay is a great wine for the money and an equally fabulous introduction to the house style. The fruit sources are Mt. Carmel, Sweeney Canyon, 3-D, Gnesa and a touch of Zotovich." Wine Advocate (91 Points)

The imprint of our 2010 Chardonnay's terroir is readily apparent in the aromatics, flavors and textures. While displaying a bit more elegance than recent vintages, the wine is still wonderfully intense and powerful with notes of baked apple, hazelnuts, lemon peel, nutmeg, brioche and cream.Winery Notes

"Combines richness with density and a tight core of pear, melon, green apple and light cedary oak flavors. This is raw and young, so give it time. The finish is complex, layered and nuanced." Wine Spectator (91 Points)
In the glass, this wine has a classic Chardonnay hue of pale golden straw. The bouquet draws you in with delicate nuances of wet stones, lichee, white peach, orange blossoms, and a slight hint of toasted almonds. The palate is soft and fleshy and loaded with bright citrus tones of sweet mandarin and Meyer lemon, white nectarine and rich tropical notes of guava, pineapple, and lichee – all complemented by subtle sweet oak. There is a delicate smoothness to this Chardonnay and fantastic weight throughout. This is the wine you’ll want to bring to the next big dinner party or business lunch– get ready to accept the kudos.

This vineyard consists of 4 acres of 17 year old vines. The wine is light yellow in color and has a lovely complex perfume with floral, peach, citrus nuances and a faint hint of mineral and pineapple. With lovely complex fruit flavors accented by a flinty, Chablis-like quality, this is delicious to drink now. As the wine ages I would expect that it should show even more depth.
Incredible purity and class on the nose—discreet, complex, a hint of vanilla and white flower blossoms. The palate is dry and round without a hint of sucrosity.
This Faiveley Pouilly-Fuisse is bright yellow in Farbe with bluish reflections. The powerful tropical fruit of Faiveley Pouilly-Fuissé bring a strong and characterful white wine on the tongue.

900 Cases Produced This is the second vintage in which 20% of Failla's young-vine Chardonnay blend was fermented and aged in concrete egg vessels. The remainder fermented and aged for 10 months in French oak, only 15% new and barely perceptible in the finished wine's flinty nose balanced with citrusy scents of grapefruit and lime filled out with a hint of jasmine and oyster-shell. The textural contributions of the concrete-fermented lots nicely balance the wine's vibrant mouth-watering acidity. This is firm in acidity, bracing in minerals and bone dry. That makes it sound austere, but you'll find delicious apricot, lime and citron flavors, enhanced by sweet oak.Wine Enthusiast 92 Points
"Combines ripe tropical fruit, with hints of green pineapple and touches of citrus. Clean, pure, moderately ripe and complex." Wine Spectator (87 Points)
This delicious Russian River Valley Chardonnay displays yellow apple, peach blossom, tangerine and crystallized ginger. Fresh flavors of Gravenstein apple and citrus are intertwined with layers of spice. A rich and weighty mid-palate is followed by a very long exotic, mineral infused finish.
This unoaked wine captures the pure, clean expression of Chardonnay from our Mer Soleil Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County.? The mineral essence is reminiscent of the classic Chablis style with the tropical elements found in the Chardonnays of the Pacific Coastline. Grapes are fermented in cement tanks, without oak contact.
