This Pinot Noir was sourced primarily from our Panorama estate vineyard (75%), balanced with select lots from the Clark vineyard (10%) and Mission Peak vineyard (5%). These vineyards have been certified sustainable by the SIP organization (Sustainability In Practice) since 2008. After fermentation was complete, the wine was aged 9 months primarily in 96% French oak (16% new) for 9 months.

Decoy Pinot Noir highlights a plush and approachable expression of Pinot Noir that is crafted to be ready upon release. The aromas offer enticing layers of Bing cherry, anise, cola, mint and oak-inspired vanilla. On the palate, the wine displays lovely weight and balance with rich and appealing layers of raspberry, fresh strawberry pie, Santa Rosa plum and morel mushroom, all underscored by a streak of acidity that carries the flavors to a long, satisfying finish.
2009 Pinot Noir is a bit more forward than prior vintages, leaning more to the black-fruit vs. red fruit side on both the nose and palate. The palate retains a fresh and focused acidity that complements the fine and subtle tannins.
Aromas of black cherry and dark currant come out of the glass with an initial swirl, revealing this wine’s intense black fruit flavors. A sip reveals a full bodied Pinot Noir imbued with flavors of ripe red plums and flecks of allspice. 2010 Lindsay's Pinot Noir follows in the footsteps of its predecessors. A deep crimson hue leads to classic Pinot aromas of cola, red and black cherries, candied strawberries and cassis. While the wine is blessed with firm acidity, it is broad, silky and balanced on the palate. Notes of black cherry and worn leather explode on the nose followed by a rich brown sugar spice. Blueberry cobbler, lemon zest and freshly ground cardamom round out the palate. This is an intricate yet friendly wine and will resonate with all lovers of Pinot Noir. Full, ripe and harmonious it pairs well with lamb, turkey, salmon or pork.
