2009 24 Knots - Pinot Noir
2009 24 Knots - Pinot Noir $19.99

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | California | 750ml

As the temperature rises in California’s central coast  during the hottest hours of the day, the vineyards at 24 Knots are blessed with cool marine winds which sweep through at an unbelievable 30 miles per hour, which, in nautical terms, is equivalent to a speed of 24 knots, hence the name… This very structured and balanced wine offers aromas of strawberry and black cherry, accompanied by hint of toast. It has a vivid acidity and a long silky finish.

2009 Adelsheim - Pinot Noir Willamette Valley $46.99 $33.95

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | 750ml

91

With its broad array of origins and clones, this wine displays red aromas (candied cherry, pomegranate and raspberry), on the nose and the palate. In addition, one finds a light touch of brown spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, all-spice). True to our house style, it is elegantly textured with seamlessly integrated, silky, polished tannins. Pair it with salmon or ahi, veal or pork, poultry (think duck) or beef, or hearty vegetarian entrees.
2009 Albert Bichot - Pommard Clos Micault
2009 Albert Bichot - Pommard Clos Micault $69.99 $49.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

This Pommard 1er Cru “Clos Micault” has a beautiful garnet color. Elegant to the nose, it develops aromas of back fruits, coffee and vanilla, supported by soft spice and pepper notes. Fleshy and supple in the mouth, its tannins are well incorporated, the wooden notes are subtle and the finish lingers forever…

2009 Angela - Pinot Noir Clawson Creek Vineyard $59.99 $29.98

A round, fruit-powered, appealing mix of delicious citrus, berry and plum flavors. Highlights of orange peel and baking spices are underscored by bracing acidity. Grapes are entirely from the Clawson Creek estate vineyard. Wine Enthusiast 90 Points

2009 Armand Rousseau - Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
2009 Armand Rousseau - Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru $299.97 $249.97

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

 BH  89-92

The 2009 Charmes-Chambertin emerges from the glass with lovely radiance and openness in its ripe, juicy fruit. The Charmes is already rather forward, and at this stage appears to be a relatively early-maturing wine. The oak is also a bit pronounced. Sweet, textured floral notes wrap around the long, polished finish. Rousseau’s Charmes is technically 60% Mazoyeres. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2029.

2009 Armand Rousseau - Gevrey Chambertin AC
2009 Armand Rousseau - Gevrey Chambertin AC $199.97 $129.97

The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin is pure silk on the palate. Layers of flavor emerge gracefully from this weightless, totally refined wine. A model of understated elegance, the Gevrey makes a great introduction to the wines of Eric Rousseau.

2009 Armand Rousseau - Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St.-Jacques 1er Cru
2009 Armand Rousseau - Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux St.-Jacques 1er Cru $299.97 $199.97

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

An ultra fresh and exceptionally elegant and airy nose features cool red berry and stone aromas that lead to equally mineral-inflected and beautifully well-detailed flavors that possess outstanding intensity and excellent persistence. I very much like the balance and this is a classic Lavaut.

2009 Armand Rousseau - Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru
2009 Armand Rousseau - Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru $539.99 $399.97

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

 BH  90-93
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers presents an attractive core of dark fruit, considerable aromatic complexity and plenty of structure to back things up. Fresh, vibrant notes are woven throughout, adding to an impression of reserved, tense coolness. The Cazetiers is one of the more inward wines at Rousseau in 2009.

2009 Bouchard Pere & Fils - Le Corton
2009 Bouchard Pere & Fils - Le Corton $161.99 $119.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

Good full red. Complex aromas of dark fruits, coffee, earth, spices and musky soil tones, with nuances of licorice and ashes. Silky and lush in the mouth, but with lovely sappy energy to the ripe dark fruit and spice flavors. Thanks to its sound natural acidity (it's cooler at the top of the Corton hillside), this cuvee began very reductive, noted Prost. Very long on the aftertaste.
2009 Bouchard Pere & Fils - Pommard
2009 Bouchard Pere & Fils - Pommard $76.93 $54.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

Deep ruby red colour. On the nose, fruit aromas coupled with wilder animal notes expressed on an oaky touch (leather flavours when young). This is a robust, solid wine with a present tannic structure.
2009 Bouchard Pere & Fils - Volnay Caillerets Ancienne Cuvee Carnot
2009 Bouchard Pere & Fils - Volnay Caillerets Ancienne Cuvee Carnot $107.99 $79.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

Exquisite fruit and spice aromas. On the palate, perfect harmony between structure and elegance: rich, complex and voluptuous. Very good ageing potential.
2009 Brewer Clifton Ampelos
2009 Brewer Clifton Ampelos $59.99

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | California | 750ml

"The 2009 Pinot Noir Ampelos comes across as quite energetic and tightly wound. Dark cherries, plums, sweet spices and menthol emerge, but only with great reluctance. Sweet floral notes and licorice appear later, adding complexity and nuance to the red fruit. There is marvelous integrity in the glass; the only thing needed is time." Wine Advocate (92 Points)

2009 Cambria - Julias Pinot Noir
2009 Cambria - Julias Pinot Noir $25.99 $17.95

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Santa Maria Valley, California | 750ml

2009 Cameron - Dundee Pinot Noir
2009 Cameron - Dundee Pinot Noir $48.99

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Oregon | 750ml

2009 was a warm, bountiful year and while many producers have given the market high alcohol, overripe fruit bombs, you will not find that in any 2009 Pinot noirs from Cameron. Deep roots without irrigation is the key: these vines have far less leaf canopy and fewer stomata for gas exchange so that significantly less sugar is produced over the course of the ripening season. Add to that the higher elevation of our Abbey Ridge Vineyard and you have before you a wine of elegance and grace (13.0% alcohol), luscious black cherry aromas and mouth-watering texture.

2009 Chauvenet-Chopin - Chambolle-Musigny
2009 Chauvenet-Chopin - Chambolle-Musigny $79.99 $59.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

Hubert Chauvenet is crafting classic wines with fine delicacy of fruit and rich complexity. Always supple, opulent, seductive, and fruit-driven, the offerings from Chauvenet-Chopin are friendly, smile-inducing wines.

2009 Coopers Creek - Pinot Noir Hawkes Bay
2009 Coopers Creek - Pinot Noir Hawkes Bay $20.25 $13.95

Red | Pinot Noir | New Zealand | 750ml

Ripe black cherry and strawberry notes laced with a richness of spice and oak overtones. A wine style that furthers New Zealand's reputation as one of the few countries to have successfully come to grips with this fickle, supremely aristocratic grape.
2009 Domaine Dujac - Morey St Denis 1er Cru
2009 Domaine Dujac - Morey St Denis 1er Cru $199.95 $179.97

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

89-92

 BH  90-92

A notably floral-infused nose of red berry fruit also reflects a discreet note of new wood that complements the rich, dense, serious and palate staining medium-bodied flavors that possess fine complexity on the balanced and quite firm finish. This should be excellent in time.

2009 Domaine Faiveley - Bourgogne Rouge
2009 Domaine Faiveley - Bourgogne Rouge $24.95 $19.95

Full red with ruby tones. Incredible high-pitched nose combines raspberry, pepper, rose petal, red licorice, crushed stone, flowers, menthol and eucalyptus. The palate offers extraordinary sweetness but the wine's minerally lift and intense sappiness gives it a weightless impression. Shows the noble side of Corton grand cru, not to mention uncanny intensity; Faiveley made 42 hectoliters per hectare in 2009, but the wine tastes like half that. Finishes with incredible length and verve; offhand, I can't think of a longer 2009. Should be a cellar treasure.

2009 Domaine Faiveley - Les Damodes Nuites St. Georges Premier Cru
2009 Domaine Faiveley - Les Damodes Nuites St. Georges Premier Cru $79.95 $69.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

A beautiful very dark ruby colour. The expressive nose opens with aromas of black fruits, spices and many fiery notes of grilling or toasting. The attack is full. A good tannic structure and beautiful acidity make this wine powerful and round on the palate.

2009 Domaine Faiveley - Nuits St. Georges
2009 Domaine Faiveley - Nuits St. Georges $64.95 $54.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

A dark garnet colour. The nose unveils woody, fruity and spicy scents. Then comes a round, full attack on the palate with velvety, silky tannins and beautiful balance. This wine is characterised by finesse, charm and elegance.
2009 Domaine Serene - Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Yamhill Cuvée
2009 Domaine Serene - Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Yamhill Cuvée $49.95 $44.95

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | 750ml

"The Serene 2009 Pinot Noir Yamhill Cuvee offers sweeter red berry flavors than does the corresponding 2010, with brown spice accents and nicely integrated tannic chew. Pure-fruited and with ample finishing juiciness, this betrays none of its vintage’s weak sides and ought to drink well for another several years." Wine Advocate (88 Points)

2009 Erath - Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
2009 Erath - Pinot Noir Willamette Valley $22.99 $15.95

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | Oregon | 750ml

This lustrous beauty showcases aromas of raspberry pie with pleasing hints of mint, citrus and a provocative suggestion of smoke. Fresh and bright flavors on the palate are balanced with a blend of juicy cherry and racy pomegranate.
2009 Etude - Pinot Noir Estate Carneros
2009 Etude - Pinot Noir Estate Carneros $44.99 $27.95

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | California | 750ml

Ruby and garnet in color, the 2009 Carneros Pinot Noir offers aromas of black cherry, Asian spice and sous bois that are lifted by a concentrated fresh fruit core. Consistent with the nose, the palate also demonstrates the qualities of a well balanced Pinot Noir: refined tannins, bright acidity, a generous mouthfeel and a lingering finish. Due to the cool conditions of 2009 vintage, this wine offers an exceptional fresh acidic structure and fruit balance, which furthers its Burgundian like qualities.
2009 Foris - Pinot Noir Rogue Valley
2009 Foris - Pinot Noir Rogue Valley $29.99 $19.95

Red | Pinot Noir | United States | 750ml

2009 Pinot Noir is a bit more forward than prior vintages, leaning more to the black-fruit vs. red fruit side on both the nose and palate. The palate retains a fresh and focused acidity that complements the fine and subtle tannins.
