Red | Proprietary Red | Spain | Catalonia | 750ml

"The 2009 Camins del Priorat possesses an intriguing, alluring bouquet with lifted aromas of damson, red currant and pressed flowers that unfurl with a few swirls of the glass. The full-bodied palate is defined by its fleshy tannins on the entry, yet its corpulence does not obscure its attractive minerally core. The sappy finish grips the mouth, and its backbone suggests it will benefit from 3 to 5 year’s aging." Wine Advocate (90 Points)

"A very strong effort for the vintage, this dark ruby/purple-hued 2007 reveals notes of sandalwood, spice box, black currants, sweet cherries, and truffles. Spicy, round, and generous with a nicely layered mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and a surprisingly long, authoritative finish, it will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 10-12 years." (70% grenache, 20% syrah and 10% mourvedre): Glass-staining ruby. Sexy, highly perfumed bouquet evokes candied red fruits, potpourri and anise, with a spicy topnote. Bright and focused on the palate, but with a seamless texture to its sweet raspberry, cherry and lavender pastille flavors. In a very suave style, with excellent finishing clarity and persistent florality.

Beautiful, deep ruby core with a lighter ruby/purple rim. The aroma is of rich red and black fruit of cherry, ripe strawberry and blackcurrant, framed by subtle vanilla and brown spice with cedar, tobacco and pencil shaving highlights. On the palate, bright red cherry, blackcurrant and a touch of strawberry jam are framed by leather, cedar and graphite with background spice of vanilla, cinnamon and just a touch of white pepper. Mongrana is the quintessential expression of the colors, sights and sounds of the Maremma region: fruity and intense, fresh and embracing. A blend of Sangiovese (50%); Merlot (25%); Cabernet Sauvignon (25%) from a biodynamically farmed estate.

Wine & Spirits 95 points: Passagem 2007 wine is a full bodied, seductive wine with great balance and freshness often hard to achieve in wines from the hotter Douro Superior. Like all of Jorge's Wines, it has good equilibrium and definition. Very aromatic with black fruit flavours, rounded tannins and good complexity, the wine lingers on the palate. Undoubtedly the best wine we have made from this new project, it is showing very well now and has a good potential for ageing.

2010 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars - Hands of Time Red Blend $39.95 $29.95

Red | Proprietary Red | United States | California | 750ml

The 2010 Hands of Time is pretty impressive. This Napa Valley red blend has pleasing aromas of spiced fruit, clove and vanilla. The palate offers a sweet fruit entry of cherry and raspberry, which wrap around the structured tannins and lead to a lingering spice-filled finish. 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot. The fruit is entirely from the Stag's Leap vineyards, often called one of Napa's 'first growths,' produced in the premium style of the winery but at an excellent price and value.
2009 Tenuta San Guido - Guidalberto
2009 Tenuta San Guido - Guidalberto $59.95 $49.95

"The 2009 Guidalberto flows across the palate with layers of radiant red fruit. This is another striking, supple Guidalberto loaded with personality. Stylistically it is quite close to the 2007, but with perhaps a touch less body but equally silky, polished tannins. Freshly cut roses, spices and a burst of pure red berries add nuance on the finish. Guidalberto is no longer the stunning value it once was, but it is quite gorgeous in this vintage just the same. This is easily one of the best vintages I can recall tasting." Wine Advocate (92+ Points)

2006 Travaglini - Gattinara
2006 Travaglini - Gattinara $43.99 $31.95

Red | Proprietary Red | Italy | 750ml

"Sweet floral aromatics emerge from the 2006 Gattinara. This deceptively medium-bodied wine shows good depth in its red fruit, but at times comes across as a touch fragile and fleeting. Nevertheless, it is an attractive, representative Gattinara well-suited for drinking over the next few years." Wine Advocate (91 Points)

70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah The 2009 Treana Red, our flagship wine, has a deeply extracted, ruby hue and displays up-front aromas of ripe, dark fruit and exotic spice. Depth and power come from the Cabernet, while a Syrah component lends inviting fleshiness. The wine's full mouthfeel leads to a silky, lasting finish. Luxurious and well balanced now, the 2009 Treana Red will continue to age beautifully for the next 10-12 years.

A wine with soft and silky tannins and very pretty fruit with delicate milk chocolate and currants. Full body, with fine tannins. Made mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon. Better in 2012.
James Suckling 92 Points

Deep ruby. Intense aromas of cherry-cola, woodsmoke and dried flowers, accented by peppery spice. Juicy and focused, with very good clarity to its bitter cherry and blackcurrant flavors. Shows impressive vivacity on the finish, which clings with serious spicy tenacity.
