The aroma is of rich red and black fruit of cherry, ripe strawberry and blackcurrant, framed by subtle vanilla and brown spice with cedar, tobacco and pencil shaving highlights. On the palate, bright red cherry, blackcurrant and a touch of strawberry jam are framed by leather, cedar and graphite with background spice of vanilla, cinnamon and just a touch of white pepper. Wine & Spirits 95 points: Passagem 2007 wine is a full bodied, seductive wine with great balance and freshness often hard to achieve in wines from the hotter Douro Superior. Like all of Jorge's Wines, it has good equilibrium and definition. Very aromatic with black fruit flavours, rounded tannins and good complexity, the wine lingers on the palate. Undoubtedly the best wine we have made from this new project, it is showing very well now and has a good potential for ageing.

"The 2009 Guidalberto flows across the palate with layers of radiant red fruit. This is another striking, supple Guidalberto loaded with personality. Stylistically it is quite close to the 2007, but with perhaps a touch less body but equally silky, polished tannins. Freshly cut roses, spices and a burst of pure red berries add nuance on the finish. Guidalberto is no longer the stunning value it once was, but it is quite gorgeous in this vintage just the same. Depth and power come from the Cabernet, while a Syrah component lends inviting fleshiness. The wine's full mouthfeel leads to a silky, lasting finish. Luxurious and well balanced now, the 2009 Treana Red will continue to age beautifully for the next 10-12 years.

A wine with soft and silky tannins and very pretty fruit with delicate milk chocolate and currants. Full body, with fine tannins. Made mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon. Better in 2012.

Deep ruby. Intense aromas of cherry-cola, woodsmoke and dried flowers, accented by peppery spice. Juicy and focused, with very good clarity to its bitter cherry and blackcurrant flavors. Shows impressive vivacity on the finish, which clings with serious spicy tenacity.
