From the rolling hills of Patterson, Washington State, comes this vibrant white wine displaying intense aromas of fresh fruits with a hint of tropical and floral nuances. On the palate, juicy flavors of peach, apple, pear and melon give way to a truly refreshing finish.
Red | Merlot | United States | California | 750ml
The Tasting Panel gave this 2009 vintage 90 points describing it as a “pleasing and vivacious value driven slice of sunshine.” We couldn’t agree more! The grapes used to craft this classic Bordeaux-style Merlot originate from the renowned region of Pomerol, France and grow on the clay soil of the Sierra foothills of California. The result is a medium-bodied wine offering both black and red fruits, alongside of vanilla and spicy cedar. It will pair seamlessly with richer meats like lamb and beef.

As the temperature rises in California’s central coast during the hottest hours of the day, the vineyards at 24 Knots are blessed with cool marine winds which sweep through at an unbelievable 30 miles per hour, which, in nautical terms, is equivalent to a speed of 24 knots, hence the name… This very structured and balanced wine offers aromas of strawberry and black cherry, accompanied by hint of toast. It has a vivid acidity and a long silky finish.

“The 2009 Beaune Cent-Vignes is gorgeous. Juicy dark cherries, flowers, mint and minerals come to life in the glass in this deep, expressive wine. The tannins are quite firm and the structure is imposing, so readers will have to be patient. There is little doubt the Cent-Vignes will be stellar in a few years. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.” Wine Advocate (91+)

The 2009 Il Bruciato is a gorgeous entry-level red from Antinori’s Bolgheri property. Black cherries, espresso, grilled herbs, crushed rocks and spices are some of the notes that emerge from this generous, expressive wine. Il Bruciato is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. A clean, saline finish makes it impossible to resist a second taste. This shows tons of regional character, not to mention terrific personality.

Ripe and very floral aromas display pure red pinot fruit that is cut with minerality and crushed herbs that introduce earthy and stony middle weight flavors that possess a taut muscularity and excellent power on the beautifully well-balanced and lingering finish. This is a very fresh wine of harmony that should age for decades if well-stored and while it's not quite at the same level as the brilliant 2005 version, it's close. Drink 2024+

The 2009 Charmes-Chambertin emerges from the glass with lovely radiance and openness in its ripe, juicy fruit. The Charmes is already rather forward, and at this stage appears to be a relatively early-maturing wine. The oak is also a bit pronounced. Sweet, textured floral notes wrap around the long, polished finish. Rousseau’s Charmes is technically 60% Mazoyeres. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2029.
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin is pure silk on the palate. Layers of flavor emerge gracefully from this weightless, totally refined wine. A model of understated elegance, the Gevrey makes a great introduction to the wines of Eric Rousseau.

"The 2009 La Basseta is purple black in color with a brooding bouquet of liquid minerals, licorice, tapenade, a hint of balsamic, black cherry, and blackberry. On the palate it reveals greater richness than the 2008 with plush fruit, succulent flavors, and enough ripe tannin to evolve for 4-6 years. It will be at its best from 2015 to 2029." "The 2009 Pinot Noir Ampelos comes across as quite energetic and tightly wound. Dark cherries, plums, sweet spices and menthol emerge, but only with great reluctance. Sweet floral notes and licorice appear later, adding complexity and nuance to the red fruit. There is marvelous integrity in the glass; the only thing needed is time." Wine Advocate (92 Points)
Red | Cabernet Sauvignon | United States | Napa Valley | 750ml
Produced by Napa Valley cult-wine favorite Buccella Vineyards, the "Mica" is a declassified wine of barrels that do not make the cut for the producer's primary Cabernet Sauvignon. Both wines are made in the same practice of whole-berry fermentation, 22 months aging in new French oak barrels and being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

The winery’s colorful founder, The Count of Buena Vista, pioneered premium winemaking in California. A tireless and passionate devotee of California wine, The Count imported hundreds of premium vines from Europe, dug Sonoma’s first wine caves, introduced innovative viticulture techniques, and wrote the first treatise on California wine.
Our 2009 Founder ’s Red Wine is truly a wine that Count Haraszthy would be proud to have bear his name. Inviting aromas of ripe raspberries, cherries and blackberries lead to rewarding flavors of currant, blueberry jam and black pepper. This well-structured wine will please the palate with its lush mouthfeel and lengthy finish.

2009 was a warm, bountiful year and while many producers have given the market high alcohol, overripe fruit bombs, you will not find that in any 2009 Pinot noirs from Cameron. Deep roots without irrigation is the key: these vines have far less leaf canopy and fewer stomata for gas exchange so that significantly less sugar is produced over the course of the ripening season. Add to that the higher elevation of our Abbey Ridge Vineyard and you have before you a wine of elegance and grace (13.0% alcohol), luscious black cherry aromas and mouth-watering texture.

"The 2009 Camins del Priorat possesses an intriguing, alluring bouquet with lifted aromas of damson, red currant and pressed flowers that unfurl with a few swirls of the glass. The full-bodied palate is defined by its fleshy tannins on the entry, yet its corpulence does not obscure its attractive minerally core. The sappy finish grips the mouth, and its backbone suggests it will benefit from 3 to 5 year’s aging." Wine Advocate (90 Points)
