Red | Merlot | United States | California | 750ml
The Tasting Panel gave this 2009 vintage 90 points describing it as a “pleasing and vivacious value driven slice of sunshine.” We couldn’t agree more! The grapes used to craft this classic Bordeaux-style Merlot originate from the renowned region of Pomerol, France and grow on the clay soil of the Sierra foothills of California. The result is a medium-bodied wine offering both black and red fruits, alongside of vanilla and spicy cedar. It will pair seamlessly with richer meats like lamb and beef.
Red | Pinot Noir | United States | California | 750ml
As the temperature rises in California’s central coast during the hottest hours of the day, the vineyards at 24 Knots are blessed with cool marine winds which sweep through at an unbelievable 30 miles per hour, which, in nautical terms, is equivalent to a speed of 24 knots, hence the name… This very structured and balanced wine offers aromas of strawberry and black cherry, accompanied by hint of toast. It has a vivid acidity and a long silky finish.
Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml
This Pommard 1er Cru “Clos Micault” has a beautiful garnet color. Elegant to the nose, it develops aromas of back fruits, coffee and vanilla, supported by soft spice and pepper notes. Fleshy and supple in the mouth, its tannins are well incorporated, the wooden notes are subtle and the finish lingers forever…

“The 2009 Beaune Cent-Vignes is gorgeous. Juicy dark cherries, flowers, mint and minerals come to life in the glass in this deep, expressive wine. The tannins are quite firm and the structure is imposing, so readers will have to be patient. There is little doubt the Cent-Vignes will be stellar in a few years. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.” Wine Advocate (91+)

Ripe and very floral aromas display pure red pinot fruit that is cut with minerality and crushed herbs that introduce earthy and stony middle weight flavors that possess a taut muscularity and excellent power on the beautifully well-balanced and lingering finish. This is a very fresh wine of harmony that should age for decades if well-stored and while it's not quite at the same level as the brilliant 2005 version, it's close. Drink 2024+
The 2009 Charmes-Chambertin emerges from the glass with lovely radiance and openness in its ripe, juicy fruit. The Charmes is already rather forward, and at this stage appears to be a relatively early-maturing wine. The oak is also a bit pronounced. Sweet, textured floral notes wrap around the long, polished finish. Rousseau’s Charmes is technically 60% Mazoyeres. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2029.
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin is pure silk on the palate. Layers of flavor emerge gracefully from this weightless, totally refined wine. A model of understated elegance, the Gevrey makes a great introduction to the wines of Eric Rousseau.

Red | Chardonnay | France | Burgundy | 750ml
Typical aromas, with fruit and floral notes. A very perfumed, silky and elegant wine. To be drunk preferably in its youth for its freshness. Will deliciously accompany freshwater fish, shellfish of all kinds, pâtés and terrines.
"A similar if more complex nose also offers up notes of straw, melon and citrus where the latter continues onto the rich, generous and rather fleshy medium-bodied flavors that possess good dry extract levels and fine finishing intensity. This will be approachable young." Burghound (88)

"The 2009 Pinot Noir Ampelos comes across as quite energetic and tightly wound. Dark cherries, plums, sweet spices and menthol emerge, but only with great reluctance. Sweet floral notes and licorice appear later, adding complexity and nuance to the red fruit. There is marvelous integrity in the glass; the only thing needed is time." Wine Advocate (92 Points)
Red | Cabernet Sauvignon | United States | Napa Valley | 750ml
Produced by Napa Valley cult-wine favorite Buccella Vineyards, the "Mica" is a declassified wine of barrels that do not make the cut for the producer's primary Cabernet Sauvignon. Both wines are made in the same practice of whole-berry fermentation, 22 months aging in new French oak barrels and being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The CADE Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is sourced from five small growers on Howell Mountain: CADE Estate Vineyards, Ink Grade Vineyards, Outpost Vineyards, True and Eagle Summit Vineyards.
"The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is a big, rich, seamless wine endowed with gorgeous depth and plushness. Dark red fruit, licorice, spices and menthol are some of the notes that take shape in the glass in this big, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon. A rich, textured finish rounds things out in style." Wine Advocate 94 Points
The 2009 vintage provided our CADE Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with a dramatic aromatic profile, supported by beautifully integrated tannins that will allow for gentle aging. Aromas of Black Cherry and Créme de Cassis are followed on the palate with flavors of Bing Cherry, Pipe Tobacco, Baker's Chocolate and Roasted Nuts. The elevated structure that the 2009 exhibits can be attributed to the higher proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon which follows through with a tantalizing finish. Refreshingly approachable now, the 2009 cade napa cuvée will handsomely reward cellaring for 5+ years. Fruit from properties like Beckstoffer Dr. Crane, Georges III and Kenefick Ranch.

Red | Bordeaux | France | 750ml
A spectacular effort from this estate rivaling their 2005, but more flashy/flamboyant, this dark ruby/purple wine has a strikingly intense nose of licorice, flowers, plums and dark berries. Medium to full-bodied, very approachable and silky, this suave, very sexy wine can be drunk early on as well as aged for 20+ years.Robert Parker 95 Points
"Showing far superior from bottle than it did from barrel, the proprietor (the same as the famous military and corporate jet manufacturer) has turned out a sexy, opulent, fruit-laden wine with an abundance of black cherries, black currants, spring flowers and some background earth and licorice. This is a lusty, flamboyant and extroverted style of wine to drink over the next 10-15 years." Wine Advocate (90 Points)
Red | Proprietary Red | France | Rhone Valley | 750ml
The wine is a blend of typical Rhône grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan. It has been fermented and aged in concrete tanks only, without any influence from oak barrels. At tasting, the wine reveals beautiful red fruit aromas: cherries, blackcurrant, and raspberries with violets and spices. You can feel the importance of the blend in the freshness, roundness and purity of this wine, which also makes it easy to access, a true pleasure to enjoy with a variety of red and white meat dishes and even barbecue.

Red | Syrah | France | Rhone | 750ml
"Rich and dense, but velvety and nicely detailed, with sleek-edged cassis, blackberry and plum fruit woven with white pepper, mulled spice and dark olive notes. A strong, tangy, iron edge takes over on the finish, with lots of latent grip. Best from 2013 through 2022. Only 900 Cases Produced." Wine Spectator 93 Points"As for the negociant northern Rhone selections, the dense purple-hued 2009 Cote Rotie reveals lots of black olive, bacon fat, black raspberry and blackberry fruit notes intertwined with hints of charcoal and underbrush. This impressively endowed, medium to full-bodied Cote Rotie should drink well for 10-15 years." Wine Advocate 92 Points"Bright purple. Classic syrah aromas of cherry, boysenberry and violet, complicated by smoked meat, pipe tobacco and licorice. Vibrant and sweet, showing impressive depth to its dark fruit preserve, anise and floral flavors. Tangy acidity and silky tannins give lift and shape to the long, floral finish." "A good value among over-achieving St.-Emilion estates is La Fleur Cardinale’s 2009. Composed of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, some of the abrasive tannins noticeable early on in this big wine (14.5% alcohol) are now sweeter and better integrated. Made from tiny yields of 30 hectoliters per hectare, this is a concentrated, rich effort revealing lots of black cherry and black currant fruit as well as a fragrant, firm, full-bodied personality. It should be at its best between 2016 and 2030." Wine Advocate (94 Points)
