The 2009 Pinot Noir offers lush aromas and flavors of ripe plum and dark cherry, with hints of rose and oak spices. Smooth, supple tannins frame the beautifully balanced flavors and carry them through the long, fruit-imbued finish. It even has the elegance and bright acidity to accompany grilled salmon.

NV Agrapart - Rose Grand Cru Champagne $79.95 $59.95

Sparkling | Champagne | France | Champagne | 750ml

Agrapart's ros's based on the Cuv?Terroirs, with the addition of Cumi's rouge purchased from Ren?eoffroy. It's released a year earlier than the Terroirs, as Agrapart prefers young ros'so the current release is blended from 2005 and 2004, with about seven percent of red wine. Lively and harmonious, this shows fragrant notes of crushed red berry fruit, allied with the finesse, delicacy and pure minerality of C?des Blancs chardonnay. Its nervy acidity and structure make it feel elegant and refreshing?while it's often difficult to get the balance of a "blanc de blancs" ros?ust right, Agrapart's is consistently one of the best in the style.

NV Agrapart & Fils - 7 Crus Blanc de Blancs $49.95 $35.95

Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar 90 points: “Pale gold with a strong bead. Lively lemon, quince and honeysuckle on the nose, with a nervy underpinning of minerals. A brisk and finely etched blanc de blancs, offering clean citrus and orchard fruit flavors along with subtle anise and floral qualities. Finishes with very good clarity and cut.”

2009 Albert Bichot - Pommard $69.99 $49.95

Red | Pinot Noir | France | Burgundy | 750ml

Bichot's 2009 Pommard Clos des Ursulines delivers sweet fruits on the nose. Very fine and velvet tannins are perfectly balanced by rich fruit and acidity. This wine is drinkable now, given time to breathe, but will age gracefully for years to come.

Deep ruby-red in color, this wine is brimming with notes of dark, dried cherries, blackberries and hints of dates and mocha. Pairs well with full-flavored pasta and risotto dishes, roast poultry and chorizo. Also excellent with hard and semi-hard cheeses.

2002 Andre Clouet - Brut Millesime Vintage Champagne $69.95 $49.95

Sparkling | Champagne | France | Champagne | 750ml

The 2002 Brut Millesime shows the exuberance and weight for which Bouzy is so well-known. Red berries, flowers and minerals are some of the nuances that are woven together in a rich, expansive fabric of notable class. This really needs some time in the glass to shine, but when the wine opens up it is absolutely glorious. A round, creamy finish has the last word. The 2002 is a bit more forward than most wines in this vintage which makes it approachable now, although I am not sure it is destined to make old bones. This is Lot L08. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020.
