Pearson's Notes
The 2006 Greenock Shiraz comes from one of the estate's young vineyards but you would never know this on taste. It spent 18 months in hogsheads, 20% new American, 5% new French, and the balance seasoned French and American. It is a glass-coating purple color with an expressive bouquet of smoke, mineral, bacon, and blueberry. Layered, bordering on opulent, the wine has superior depth of flavor, plenty of savory spice notes, and a lengthy finish. There is enough ripe tannin to support 3-4 years of additional cellaring. It should be at its best from 2011 to 2020. Wine Advocate - 92 points
