Pearson's Notes

James Suckling (former Lead Critic of Wine Spectator) 91 points: Wine with polished tannins and plenty of currants, dried fruits and spices. Full and silky. Give it two to three years to open up

Wine Advocate - 89 points

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon is a huge, unoaked wine bursting with dark red fruit, sweet flower, spices, leather and licorice. The Cabernet Sauvignon saw no oak at all; the richness comes just from the intensity of the fruit. This is one of the very finest wines being made from Paso Robles fruit, and I say that after having tasted over 500 wines from Paso recently. Frankly, it puts most of what is being made in Paso in this price point to shame. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.
