Pearson's Notes
This Champagne is a blend of some 30 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vineyards, respectively 40% and 60% of the total, from several harvests of perfectly ripened grapes. Yellow-gold color. Deep, smoky and musky on the nose, with powerful apple and pear aromas. A rich, toasty Champagne, with juicy acidity giving energy to the impressively deep and pure orchard fruit flavors.
"Hints of marzipan and lightly charred toast add richness without overwhelming the flavors of poached pear, lemon curd and black currant in this lively version, showing a creamy, detailed texture." Wine Spectator (91 Points)

Balanced, with a rich, toasty character, bright acidity and subtle notes of lemon curd, cream, quince paste and fleur de sel. Ends with a firm, minerally finish. Drink now through 2015.

A fine, very pure style of Champagne. Has hints of toast and citrus fruits that come together in a style that is almost the essence of Champagne. Crisp, rich and complex.
