In making Beringer’s White Zinfandel, the focus is to highlight the fresh red berry, citrus and melon aromas and flavors, and round them out with subtle hints of nutmeg and clove. The wine has a youthful exuberance that is enjoyable as a sipper on its own, or with a variety of dishes.
Aromas of a briar patch on a hot summer day carry over to the palate and are carried in a mouth-filling, flavorful, juicy package. The wine was crafted for immediate enjoyment but for those who enjoy a more complex wine displaying some bottle-aged character, ageing until 2015 is a good option.

OVC – our multi-appellation blend – pulls fruit from every one of the top five Zinfandel appellations in California. By themselves, they’re news worthy. Together, well, we’re gonna stick with the tried and true: unbeatable. On the nose the wine has layers of berry fruit and anise aromas with hints of spice. On the palate, blackberry and spicy plum fruit with a rich mouth feel. Big and opulent on the mid palate with plenty of structure, trailing to a velvety toasted oak finish.

A splash of Mourvedre lends an extra kick in the mid-palate. The Biker exhibits supple ripe wild blackberry and boysenberry, teriyaki, and black pepper on the nose. On the palate, flavors start at the tip of the tongue and finish strong. Kirsch red cherries, jammy grapey, spicy chocolate, cinnamon. A massive and “in-your-face” Zin taking no prisoners. Biker rocks! (And we’re not just saying that because we make it.)
Intense aromas of briary berry, white pepper and fresh lilacs are followed by dense, smooth flavors of blueberry, fresh tobacco leaf, lavendar and spice. Bold and rich but elegantly structured and extremely smooth, this is a well-mannered zin that is balanced and versatile. Fine-grain French oak adds creaminess to the texture, while the American oak contributes notes of spice that linger through a long, rich finish.

The wine was then aged for one year in used French oak barrels. It was neither fined nor filtered. The finished wine has the distinct aroma of ripe blackberry, with hints of mineral, herbs and wildflowers. It's hard not to love the charming forwardness of the 2010 vintage. 820 Cases Produced
