Aberlour 16 Year Old is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and the finest ex-sherry butts. This maturation ensures the depth of character as well as the distinictive fruitiness and spiciness of Aberlour. Rich golden amber colour. Dry scented floral and sweet raisin aromas with spicy nuttiness. Smooth, full, sweet floral and spicy flavours with a soft plum fruitiness and gentle oakiness. With a long, warm, spicy fruitiness finish.

This rich, spicy 18 year old from Aberlour was only released for general consumption in 2008; prior to this it had only been produced for the French market. Nose: Creamy, like melted vanilla ice-cream. Fruity and honeyed. Palate: Fresh juicy apples and oranges before sherry kicks in with supple sultanas and vanilla. Finish: Intricate with chocolate raisins and oily caramel notes.
A'bunadh, Gaelic for 'of the origin', is matured exclusively in Oloroso ex-sherry butts. It is a natural cask-strentgh malt whisky produced without the use of modern-day chill filtering methods or the addition of water. Deep, rich amber colour. With aromas of mixed spices, praline and spiced orange harmonising with rich, deep notes of Oloroso sherry. Orange, black cherries, dried fruit and ginger spiked with dark bitter chocolate and enriched with sherry and oak. Full bodied and creamy. Robust and intense with bitter-sweet notes of exotic spices, dark chocolate and oak finish.

95% rye. We chose rum barrels that had previously been used to age French cognac. Long story short our barrels are vintage and very well travelled...resulting in a rare and immensely complex but incredibly drinkable whiskey even at 100 proof. You smell citrus caramel candy maple sugar vanilla oak hazelnut spice and sherry wood. You'll taste sweet rum sherry wood and soft oak with a finish that's both sweet and dry as well as quick and easy.

The more aggressive notes of coal tar, damp kiln, anise, and smoked seaweed are supported by an array of fruit (black raspberry, black cherry, plum), dark chocolate, espresso, molasses, bacon fat, kalamata olive, and warming cinnamon on the finish. Quite stunning!

In 2009, Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible named Ardbeg Uigeadail ‘World Whisky of the Year’ – in praise of its “utter silky brilliance” and “complexity on a level only a handful of distilleries in the world can even dream of reaching.” Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced ‘Oog-a-dal’) is a special vatting that marries Ardbeg’s traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks. It's non chill-filtered at high strength, which retains maximum flavour and gives more body and added depth. Deepest gold color.Rich and weighty with heady and smoky aromatics, this expression of Ardbeg is both intensely flavoured and perfectly integrated. At full strength, the initial aroma is a beguiling mix of warm Christmas cake, walnut oil and parma violets fused with fresh ocean spice, cedar and pine needles falling from the Christmas tree. A smouldering smoky coal fire and the deep scent of well-oiled leather brings warmth to the scene. The sweetness of treacle toffees and chocolate-coated raisins bring indulgence through the smoke. Full flavoured and rich with a deep mouth-coating texture, the taste is an intriguing balance between sweet, spicy and deep smoky flavours. The flavour is initially sweet as Christmas cake begins to soak into the tongue. A burst of winter spices sets off a smoky-spicy explosion countered by a sumptuous mid-palate of honey glazed smoked food and chewy treacle. Waves of deep smoky tones and rich aromas build up on the palate like a fine Montecristo cigar. Amazingly long and chewy with lingering raisiny, deep mocha tones and rich aromatic smoke into the perfectly integrated finish.

For years, evangelists asked us to create a non chill-filtered, cask strength edition of our acclaimed Auchentoshan classic. Valinch was born. The Valinch being the name of the pipette used to draw whisky straight from the cask. An appropriate name for a whisky with all the depth of taste, flavour and texture associated with sampling whisky at source. An unadulterated small batch release.
The third release of Balblair 1989 is subtly amber in appearance with rose gold highlights. A full bodied malt with aromas of raisin, green apples and hints of banana and lemon. The American oak, ex bourbon casks used in the maturation lend a warm toffee vanilla fragrance. On the palate there are raisins and fruits with rich spiciness leading to a long, complex and ultimately smooth finish.
Golden yellow color. Rich aromas of honeyed figs and dried fruits, caramelized nuts, and toasted muffins follow through on a satiny entry to a fruity-yet-dry medium-full body with excellent interplay and balance. Finishes with a long wave of spicy pistachio nougat, sweet cream, toasted grain and minerals. An elegant, almost feminine whisky with an alluring style.

The Balvenie DoubleWood is a 12 year old single malt which gains its distinctive character from being matured in two wood types. Over the period of maturation it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill European oak sherry cask. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt. The traditional casks soften and add character, whilst the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavor. Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes on the nose, layered with honey and vanilla. Smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavors ~ nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry. Long and warming finish.

Balvenie 14 Year Caribbean Cask is unique and beautifully rounded whisky that finishes off a 14 year maturation process with its transition from whiskey to the rum filled barrels. Lovely bright gold color. Layers of sweetness (the characteristic Balvenie honey, along with vanilla fudge, nougat, and rich toffee) peppered with dried spice and a hint of tropical fruit (papaya, guava, tangerine). Nice viscosity with good grip on the finish.
The Balvenie is renowned for their dedication to the traditional crafts of whisky making. The Single Barrel is drawn from a single traditional oak whisky cask of a single distillation, personally selected by the Malt Master. The result is fragrant, with vanilla, honey and dry oak notes.
