The grapes grown in this Austrialian vineyard were planted on 19th century French rootstocks, another nod to the French tradition & influence in this new world wine. This wine is a collaborative effort between two renowned wine families; Chapoutier from the Rhône Valley in France, and the Terlato family of Napa Valley in California. Wine Advocate 93 Points

A beautiful deep pink colour. The nose is expressive with flowery notes. The attack is harmonious fresh and aromatic. Cabernet sauvignon at 80% and Merlot at 20%. A Phélan-Ségur Rosé of big class.

The William Fevre Champs Royaux Chablis is vinified and aged with the same care as the Premier Crus and Grand Crus. Champ Royaux Chablis (100% Chardonnay) has a very fresh bouquet with notes of citrus and whitefleshed fruit, with a very slightly oaky finish. Fresh and supple, the wine is marked by mineral notes that are typical of the appellation.
Robert Parker: Fevre's 2011 Chablis Champs Royaux (maison) impresses for its precision and linearity. There is plenty of nuance here in a style that also expresses some of the richness of the vintage. Crushed rocks, white flowers and citrus are layered into the vibrant finish. The 2011 Champs Royaux is equal parts estate and purchased fruit, mostly from left bank sites.

"Dark and winey, with a core of steeped blackberry, plum coulis and anise flavors that pump along, just bracing enough from the slightly taut charcoal frame. Long and sleek through the finish, with the fruit and charcoal melding already, but showing plenty of drive and stuffing to hang in the cellar for a while. Best from 2014 through 2024." Wine Spectator (91 Points)
Obviously wood-aged, with a smoky toast flavor, this is a wine that shows the power of Saint-Estèphe tannins in full force. At the same time, there is a blackberry character that adds richness and juiciness, which cuts through the dry core. Age for at least 7–8 years. Wine Enthusiast 94 PointsThis is soft and velvety with blueberry and blackberry aromas. Full body, with round tannins and a long finish. A rich and almost jammy wine. James Suckling 90-91 Points
"A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, this wine displays deep black currant fruit along with some damp earth and forest notes intermixed with roasted herbs, licorice, and a touch of oak. The 2010 could well turn out to be the best this estate has made in nearly a generation.

An absolutely amazing wine, from grapes harvested between the end of September and October 17, this blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot has close to 15% natural alcohol. It comes from one of the few biodynamic vineyards in Bordeaux, but you are likely to see many more, given the success that Tesseron seems to be having at all levels, both in his vineyards and in his fermentation/winemaking. An astounding, compelling wine with the classic Pauillac nose more often associated with its cross-street neighbor, Mouton-Rothschild, creme de cassis, there are also some violets and other assorted floral notes. The wine has off-the-charts massiveness and intensity but never comes across as heavy, overbearing or astringent. The freshness, laser-like precision, and full-bodied, massive richness and extract are simply remarkable to behold and experience. It is very easy, to become jaded tasting such great wines from a great vintage, but it is really a privilege to taste something as amazing as this. Unfortunately, it needs a good decade of cellaring, and that’s assuming it doesn’t close down over the next few years. This is a 50- to 75-year wine from one of the half-dozen or so most compulsive and obsessive proprietors in all of Bordeaux. Is there anything that proprietor Alfred Tesseron is not doing right? Talk about an estate that is on top of its game! Pontet-Canet’s 2010 is a more structured, tannic and restrained version of their most recent perfect wine, the 2009. Kudos to Pontet-Canet!Wine Advocate 100 Points
