Wine Spectator #55 Top 100 Wines of 2013, 90 PointsSleek and tightly packed, with delicate layers of cherry, tobacco and cocoa flavors mingling against refined tannins, persisting pleasantly on the light-stepping finish. Drink now through 2017."Vivid fruit and full tannins define the 2011 A to Z Pinot Noir. The wine is pure, displaying pedigree and presence with a beautiful, clear, vibrant red color. Fresh aromas of lush forest berries and cherries, followed by more savory aromatics of tobacco, smoke, game, clean earth and flint. In the mouth, a focused attack of concentrated red and blue fruits grows in complexity on the mid-palate with ripe, dense tannins perfectly supported by the weight of the fruit. The wine completely harmonizes with a long finish of complex red fruit and mineral flavors. Winery Notes

I tend to drink Alto Moncayo during its first 5-6 years of life. Although I was sure they had aging potential, I did not realize just how much longevity these wines possess. They are generally full-bodied, powerful (with at least 15.5% natural alcohol), concentrated, rich wines made from very old vines and tiny yields. If you are not into flavor concentration or care about artisanal wines from great terroirs that have been ignored for centuries, this may not be the wine for you. Not one of these ten vintages was close to full maturity. The two most recent vintages, 2010 and 2011, were both late, cooler years and both have turned out to be sexy wines. I suspect that in many ways, 2011 will behave like 2006, being precocious and delicious, but not as long-lived as some of its siblings. These wines appear to have 20-30 years of aging potential, although the sweet spot for drinking them appears to be between age 8 and 15. Robert Parker Wine Advocate 95 Points
Red | Garnacha,Carinena | Spain | Priorat | 750ml
Red | Cabernet Sauvignon | United States | California | 750ml
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is fashioned in a fruit forward, easy to drink style, yet it reveals admirable complexity and length. Aged for ten months in French and American oak, this medium-bodied wine has a deep garnet hue and aromas of pepper, lush black cherry, blackberry and vanilla. The rich black cherry and plum flavors are layered with hints of vanilla, smoke, bramble, herbal notes and creamy oak that linger on the palate. The finish is soft and lingering with bold, structured texture and integrated tannins complementing the intense fruit.
This Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium brick red color which illustrates the length of barrel aging. This fine North Coast Cab is elegant in its forward ripe bing cherry profile. There is a fine sweet brown sugar note behind the fruit which provides depth before folding into some earthy peppery tones with leather and truffle notes. The palate is super rich and juicy with dark fruit flavors, cassis, plum and integrated cherry vanilla flavors which finish supple and silky.

For years, evangelists asked us to create a non chill-filtered, cask strength edition of our acclaimed Auchentoshan classic. Valinch was born. The Valinch being the name of the pipette used to draw whisky straight from the cask. An appropriate name for a whisky with all the depth of taste, flavour and texture associated with sampling whisky at source. An unadulterated small batch release.
A classic Cabernet in structure and flavor, Auspicion Cabernet Sauvignon is loaded with juicy black fruit and ripe berries, balanced by silky tannins. The lingering finish is accented by touches of chocolate, toffee, and vanilla. Full in body, this is a complex wine that is ready to drink upon release, yet will continue to develop in bottle for up to 5 years. Grapes were sourced from vineyards located in northern California’s coastal region – an area known for producing Cabernet with rich, concentrated fruit flavors and balanced complexity. Briefly aged in oak, the wine underwent full malolactic before being blended with small percentages of other varieties.

Opaque ruby. Ripe blackberry and boysenberry aromas are complemented by deeper-pitched notes of mocha and licorice. Red | Tempranillo | Spain | La Mancha | 750ml
"From holdings in La Mancha, the 2011 Volver (100% Tempranillo that spent 18 months in new French oak prior to being bottled unfiltered) is a 2,000-case cuvée that comes from a single vineyard. Abundant notes of acacia flowers intermixed with black currants and blackberries are offered in a flavorful, medium-bodied, slightly spicy format. A nicely textured mouthfeel, sweet tannin and a long finish suggest this stunning value will drink well for 3-4 years. Wines such as this normally sell for $30-$50 a bottle, but this beauty is priced just over $16." Robert Parker 91 Points

"This has long been a popular source for value-priced wines. Founded in 1958 in the appellation of Campo de Borja, Borsao owns a whopping 3,706 acres of vineyards planted at elevations of 1,300 to 2,300 feet above sea level. The soils are primarily limestone-based and the area is highly reputed for old vine Grenache, but there is also Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah planted as well as a few white varietals. The 2011 Tres Picos offers gorgeous strawberry and black cherry fruit intermixed with notions of powdery chalk, pepper and spice. 624 Cases Produced. This is a cool-climate Chardonnay that’s dark gold in color and tastes of ripe apple. From both the Ferrington and Savoy Vineyards, two of Anderson Valley’s finest, it shows the greatness of the vintage in coastal Mendocino. Fragrant and rich in honey and toasty notes, it finishes crisp. Crab cakes with it would be ideal. Wine Enthusiast 91 Points
