"This bright, appley white has a fresh scent of quince and the fine tang of lees. Its flavors and textures have the persistence of a bone-dry cider, with a zippy acidity that would hold up to a smoked pork chop."90 Points Wine & Spirits. It brings together a rich mouthfeel with a crispy finish. Not an easy combination, but this Pinot Gris pulls it off easily!

"One of Spain's finest estates, the still under-the-radar Bodegas Alto Moncayo is a joint venture of Dan Phillips, Jorge Ordoñez, Chris Ringland, Jose Miguel San Martin, Bodegas Borsao and others. The top wine is their old vine 100% Grenache cuvée called Alto Moncayo. Their value pick is the Veraton, and both the 2010 and 2011 are outstanding wines as well as terrific bargains. The 2010 Veraton is 100% old vine Grenache grown in vineyards planted between 1910 and 1967. Aged in a combination of French and American oak for 17 months prior to being bottled unfiltered, it is one of the world’s greatest Grenache values. Lots of crushed, chalky minerality intermixed with explosive notes of kirsch liqueur, lavender and spring flowers are found in this dense, full-bodied, pure red. Some background oak is noticeable, but the full-bodied, lavish concentration of fruit and glycerin are stunning and mouth-saturating. It should drink well for a decade." Robert Parker 92 Points "Inky ruby. Explosively perfumed nose offers an array of black and blue fruits, flowers and spices. Sweet black raspberry and blueberry flavors coat the palate, with smoky minerality providing lift. This sweet, fleshy wine closes with very good cut and smooth, harmonious tannins, leaving a strong spicy quality behind." International Wine Cellar 92 Points
Red | Malbec | Argentina | Mendoza | 750ml
Opaque black in color, with flashes of violet, and an ethereal, highly complex nose, with notes of red and black fruits, spices, smoke, forest groves, and sweet, fresh wood. The palate has excellent breadth and depth of juicy fruit. The acidity is fresh and the tannins are firm but fine-textured, supporting the berry flavors well on the long, elegant finish.

"Attitude" has a beautiful freshness in mouth, a frank attack, delicate green and lemon flavors, citrus fruits, green apple and kiwi aromas. The minerality gives a long finish to the wine, a smoothness and elegance - characteristics of all of Pascal Jolivet's wines.

80% tempranillo and 10% garnacha, with bits of mazuelo and graciano): Lurid red. Intense red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by cracked pepper and licorice. Taut and refreshingly bitter, with energetic cherry and redcurrant flavors and a hint of rhubarb. Tight and focused on the spicy finish. Pretty serious for the money.
