As one would reasonably expect this possesses the most elegant nose in this limited but most impressive range with its mineral-based reduction, citrus and lightly spiced pear scents merging seamlessly into ultra-precise and intense flavors of crystalline purity. There is also plenty of the hallmark penetrating minerality on the explosively long, driving and bone dry finish, indeed this is very much like rolling rocks around in your mouth. This is presently very linear but impeccably well-balanced and overall, this is wonderfully classy.

The 2010 Chevalier-Montrachet is totally seamless from start to finish. Layers of intense fruit wrap around the palate as this expressive, nuanced wine opens up in the glass. There is terrific dimension and depth to the aromas and flavors in this vivid Chevalier. Anticipated maturity: 2013+
