"The NV Brut Cuvee Grand Cellier possesses gorgeous intensity in its piercing notes of lemon, white flowers and spices. Smoky, floral notes continue to emerge as the wine shows off its class and sheer energy. This is a great showing from the Grand Cellier. The Grand Cellier is 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir. This release is based on 2008, with reserve wines from 2007 and 2006. The fruit is sourced from Les Hautes Greves and Les Basses Greves, both in Rilly la Montagne. Dosage is 10 grams per liter." Pale yellow. Complex aromas of cling peach, apricot pit, honeyed pear and white flowers, with a subtle maple undertone. Pliant, gently sweet, with deep pit fruit and floral honey flavors providing excellent palate coverage, picking up notes of allspice and burnt orange peel with air. The finish echoes the citrus and honey flavors and hangs on with excellent persistence.

Green-tinged yellow. Pineapple, pear, candied ginger and vanilla bean on the scented nose, with a chalky overtone adding lift. Dry and impressively focused, offering lively citrus and orchard fruit flavors that pick up smokiness and exotic floral and spice qualities with air. Leaves a strong mineral note behind on the long, spicy, floral-accented finish.
