Today we have for you Louis Latour Macon Villages Chameroy 2011. This is one of our best selling wines from Burgundy. A terrific value for $14.95 and we have a special case price of $13.98. This offer ends October 1. Don't miss out as we have been informed by our supplier of a price increase on the day our offer ends.

Maison Louis Latour, in keeping with its heritage with quality, purchases and often vinifies grapes from competent growers with holdings in the most esteemed vineyards in the Mâcon-Villages zone. This Louis Latour Macon Villages Chameroy is bottled during the following Spring at the ‘Clos Chameroy’ in the outskirts of Beaune. In this way Mâcon-Villages Chameroy represents the epitome of classical white Burgundy reflecting the fusion between the noble Chardonnay grape and the calciferous terrain of the area.

Tastings this Friday and Saturday: We will have available Torbreck Juveniles, White, and Shiraz. Great values from the Loire Valley and Mellot and Lauverjat Sancerres. We will also release and taste a Double 93pt Chianti Reserva that was one of Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the Year for 2012.

Maison Louis Latour

The Latour family themselves have been viticulteurs since the 17th century, slowly building up a unique Domaine of 50 hectares (125 acres). This Domaine has the largest Grand Cru property in the Cote d'Or with a total of 28,63 hectares (71,58 acres) . The vineyards extend from Chambertin in the north to Chevalier-Montrachet in the south and are solely planted with the two noble grape varieties ; Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

¨
The Macon Villages Chameroy is pale yellow in color and reveal
s a pretty nose of white fruits. In the mouth it is round and tasty with a peppery touch. Fresh and clean on the nose and palate this wine has lovely citrus aromas followed by flavours of cool delicate tropical fruit combined with lemon and grapefruit citrus notes. Refreshing and smooth on the palate with a medium finish.
