Huge Values Speyburn Single Malt Scotches

You won't find better values in Single Malt Scotch then Speyburn right now. For the quality and price it's hard to beat.

Speyburn Distillery
Speyburn Single Highland Malt Scotch whisky was first produced on the 15th December 1897, the diamond jubilee year of Queen Victoria. To make sure that whisky was distilled in the jubilee year, men worked through the night in a heavy snow storm in a still house without windows, managing to bond one single butt of 1897 Speyburn.

Although no longer in use, Speyburn is the only distillery in Scotland to retain 'drum maltings', and is also one of the very few distilleries to use traditional 'worm tubs' to condense the spirit vapour in to liquid, adding complexity to the final product. Situated in the famous Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands, Speyburn is the only distillery to use the fresh spring water of the Granty Burn, one of the major tributaries of the River Spey. It is this soft Speyside water that is acknowledged as a distinctive characteristic in the unique flavour and bouquet of this classic single malt.

Speyburn Braden Orach Single Malt Scotch
The clear, soft waters of the Granty Burn are at the heart of Speyburn Bradan Orach, a classic Speyside single malt. The term “Bra
Braden Orachdan Orach” is Gaelic for Golden Salmon, a tribute to the famously plentiful salmon fishing that takes place in the River Spey. Even without an age statement the aromas and flavors are undeniable. The Bradan Orach was even celebrated as a Gold Medal Winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2011.

Bright, rich and golden-amber in hue, the Speyburn Bradan Orach is darker in color than many similar highland scotches. The nose is of green apples, honey, lemon and floral vanilla spices aromas. With subtle and delicate flavors of vanilla and honey, full bodied, creamy and smooth with a long lasting spicy finish. This is a flavor profile more commonly associated with American Bourbon.

Don't Forget about the Irresistible Speyburn 10 Year Old. This is the Greatest Value in Single Malt Scotch.

Speyburn 10 Year Old Highland Single Malt Scotch
On the nose, Speyburn offers a nice sweet and gentle bouquet with hardly a hint of the harsh alcoholic burn that characterizes many whiskies. Freshly baked gingerbread, warm scones, honey and orange marmalade dominate with nice undertones of cinnamon, hazelnut and peaches evident. There is a definite grain character to the bouquet, one that is both balanced and complementary to the other aromas emerging from the glass. Medium-bodied with a delicate, fruity character and a dry, warm, peaty finish.

The area’s low annual rainfall and the vineyards’ free draining soil allow them to control water to the vine to keep the grapevines from becoming overly aggressive.

Columbia Crest Horse Heaven Hills

Fashioned afte r a country French chateau, Columbia Crest is one of the most impressive wineries in the Northwest. Columbia Crest has been making wines in the Horse Heaven Hills since 1983, so it was only fitting that they celebrated their rich heritage in this corner of Washington state with “H3” – an abbreviation for Horse Heaven Hills.

Drawing from decades of winemaking expertise, they've created this tier to be a contemporary interpretation of classic varietals: full-bodied with bright fruit and co mplex layers of flavor. Bottled with a unique label, H3 wines are an expression of the synergy between heritage and innovation.

Columbia Crest is sits on the Horse Heaven Hills plateau between t he Columbia River and Prosser.  The Horse Heaven Hills vineyards are noted for their high winds, which decreases foliage on the  vines – which results in better sun exposure on the grapes, which allows the grapes to come to full ripeness; and smaller grapes – which results in a higher skin-to-juice ratio, which helps produce more flavorful, extracted red wines.
