BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND SPECIALS & TASTINGS! 

Come check out our newest selections of liquors and fine wine this weekend...and while you're at it, don't miss our new and improved beer cooler now with hundreds more major brands and craft brews. We even built out our selection of Champagnes and chilled whites and rosés along with a selection of cheeses and meats. Please remember we now have parking behind the store in the Wells Fargo lot at 3700 Calvert Street NW after 530pm Monday through Friday and from 10am to 10pm Saturday and Sunday! Mention "Black Friday Weekend" at the registers to receive 5% off any purchase of wine or beer...and since we think you probably may have run out of wine from Thanksgiving, we are offering our 10% case discount on 6 bottles of wine!

Please join us this Friday night from 4pm to 7pm for a special Black Friday wine tasting. We will be featuring the wines of Penfolds and Stags' Leap as part of a special Red Ribbon holiday gifting program. In addition, for every bottle of wine you buy from our tasting, you will receive a raffle ticket and be eligible to win a free Magic Chef Free Standing Wine Cooler that holds six bottles! Please stop by either Friday or Saturday to try before you buy and we will conduct the drawing on Monday, December 2nd! 

Main Feature: Penfolds Max's Chardonnay, Penfolds Max's Cabernet Sauvignon, & Penfolds Max's Shiraz Cabernet

The Max's series is a tribute to Penfolds winemaker from 1948 to 1975 Max Schubert, whose bold and visionary style revolutionized the Australian wine industry and launched one of the most famous wine labels of all time, "Grange." The wines are polished, judiciously oaked, and offer alluring fruit, acidity, and complexity. All three are at a great price of $19.99/bottle.  

From Stags' Leap Winery, we will have some of their best selections, including the bold and customer favorite Petite Sirah! At a special price of $36.99/bottle and recently rated 94 points by James Suckling, this full-bodied wine is a no-brainer for your next hearty, holiday meal.

Tasting Schedule for December 2019

Please join us for our weekly tastings on Fridays and Saturdays. Don't forget to check out our list of wines on 25% off and our newest addition of Georgian wines and spirits to the store! 

December 6, 5pm-8pm: Molly from Olé Imports will pour a selection of her stunning and great-value Portuguese and Spanish wines from her portfolio, including the Nortico Alvarinho (a long-time customer favorite) and a stunning, Syrah-like Spanish red from Atlantida. 

December 7, 2pm-5pm: Narayan from Global Wines Maryland offers some of our favorite everyday reds and whites, including Pico & Vine from Sonoma and 2010 Chateau de Cazenove Bordeaux Rouge which is still drinking incredibly well! 

December 13, 5pm-8pm: The craft spirits of Suntory

December 14, 2pm-5pm: Fernando with RNDC will pour some of the best wines from the Taub Family portfolio, including our long-time favorite wines from the Sardinian winery, Sella & Mosca

December 20, 5pm-8pm: Laphroaig Single Malt Scotches & Redwood Empire, Journeyman Craft Spirits

December 21, 2pm-5pm: We will have two experts in the store: Gary will be pouring fine Italian wines from Empson Imports and Jared will pour delicious craft whiskies from Impex Portfolio. Jared is no stranger to Pearson's and has done several tastings and seminars with us before. We will have some of the very best whiskies open from Kilchoman, Penderyn, and the Japanese distillery, Ohishi. 

December 27, 5pm-8pm: We will have Champagne open all weekend long, starting with Trouillard from Kysela Pere et Fils. Christina will also have some craft spirits open, as well. 

December 28, 2pm-5pm: Veuve Clicquot and Ruinart Champagnes will be open for you to enjoy and on sale (a good mix of non-vintage, vintage, rosé, and Blanc de Blancs).
