A laser of a wine with a stunningly pure beam of cassis , raspberry and blackberry that has cut
and drive, flanked by notes of chalk and iron.
Fresh and lively, yet with additional purity and focus, the 2012 Cotes du Rhone Le Poste Blanc (the Le Poste vineyard is essentially 4 terraces, with one of the terraces planted with white varieties) is mostly Clairette and gives up notions of poached pears, citrus blossom and hints of green fruits in its medium-bodied, pure and balanced personality. It has solid mid-palate depth and should hold nicely for 2-3 years, possibly longer (drink it though).
